Since Prime Development announced the opening of their fourth phase with 40 new home sites at Canyon Creek last spring, thousands of homebuyers have visited the community to take advantage of the latest offerings. Prime Development is proud to announce there will be 18 homes from four of our Communities entered in the Spring Parade of Homes.  Make sure to stop by the community sales offices to say hello, and ask for your copy of the Parade booklets.

For this year’s Spring Parade of Homes, Canyon Creek has entered nine homes for judging.  Home builders entered are, James Engle Custom Homes, Lambie Custom Homes, Roeser Homes, New Mark Homes, Todd Hill Homes, C&M Builders, and Summit Custom Homes.

Last year, three of the model builders at Canyon Creek received 2013 American Dream Awards from the Home Builders Association of Greater Kansas City for their model homes at Canyon Creek:

Fall Parade Grand Award Winners scattered throughout the Prime Development family!  James Engle Custom Homes took a Grand Award for his home in Canyon Creek by the Lake, as well as two First Runner Ups for his home in Prairie Point and Prairie Brook Villas!  Summit Custom Homes received a Grand Award for his home in our Canyon Creek community, along with a First Runner Up for his home in Prairie Point.  Another Grand Award winner, Don Julian Builders, won for his home built in one of Prime’s newest real estate communities, Polo Fields.  Congratulations to our great builders for completing these spectacular new homes!

Prime Development Sees ‘Incredible’ Spring Parade Traffic

KCHBA Spring Parade of HomesThe best part of spring in Kansas City? Aside from the (mostly) beautiful weather, the season’s arrival means it’s time for the annual Spring Parade of Homes.

This year, Prime Development is thrilled to showcase Parade entries in three communities: Prairie Brook, Prairie Point and Bluestem. The Parade is a great time to shop for a new home as you tour furnished models and get a taste of what each community has to offer in terms of homes, amenities and that all-important feature: location, location, location!

During the Spring and Fall Parades, event organizers recognize American Dream Award Winners. We’re thrilled to announce that two homes in our newest community, Bluestem, received runner-up awards: James Engle Custom Homes’Laurel,” a four-bedroom, 1 ½-story home located at 11313 W. 153rd St.; and Summit Custom Home’sBristol Ridge II,” a five-bedroom, two-story home at 11413 W. 153rd St.

The Parade continues through April 29, which means you have plenty of time to come out and explore our communities. Homes are open daily from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. The activity level during this first week of the Parade has been impressive. Debbie Sinclair, who markets Prairie Point with Mara Dona Wood, says the community has seen a high number of visitors each day as prospective homeowners are eager to tour the community’s new model row that unites four of the largest builders in Kansas City: Rodrock Homes, Summit Custom Homes, James Engle Custom Homes and Roeser Homes.

In Prairie Brook and Bluestem, the Parade response has been similar. Limited opportunities remain to purchase a single-family home in Prairie Brook, a dually focused community that also offers villa homes. And in Bluestem, Prime Development’s marketing director, Dennis Patterson, said the community saw “incredible” Parade traffic last weekend.

“Over 200 groups went through on Sunday alone,” he said.

Not only did Bluestem see a high level of activity, but one of the Parade entries sold on Sunday—James Engle’s expanded “Birch” floor plan.

Prairie Brook Villas builder recognized with Spring Homes Tour awards

One of the best parts of the Spring Homes Tour, aside from visiting and touring the latest in residential construction, is the chance for builders to receive recognition for their work.

We’re proud to announce that one of our builders, James Engle Custom Homes, received two awards at last week’s recognition ceremony. Both of the award-winners are in Prairie Brook Villas, and prospective buyers are invited to visit the community and tour these outstanding homes.

Tour entry 90 received the American Dream Award. Located at 24525 W. 110th Street, the three-bedroom, 2 1/2-bathroom home is the company’s “Churchill” floor plan, a elegant home that features a soaring entry, ample great room with a gas fireplace and oversized windows that allow natural light to stream throughout the home’s main level. Thoughtful architectural touches add style and polish to the home, including archways, cut-out ceilings and conveniently placed built-ins.

Tour entry 91 received the First Runner-Up American Dream Award. The “Downing” model home, located at 24521 W. 110th St., is a three-bedroom, 2 1/2-bathroom home that includes a main-level master suite with a living area. An upstairs loft is an ideal spot for an office or additional living space, and a full basement can easily be finished for a media or recreation room, as well as additional bedrooms or storage space.

The Spring Homes Tour kicks off this weekend!

Spring has officially arrived in Kansas City, and that marks the return of the annual Spring Homes Tour. Prime Development is proud to announce three of its communities–Bluestem, Prairie Brook and Prairie Point–will feature tour entries.

Admission to the tour is free, and each of the communities will be open for extended office hours from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. This is a great time to tour Prime Development’s communities, all of which are buzzing with activity.

Bluestem: entries 11-15, featuring homes from Summit Custom Homes, James Engle Custom Homes and Starr Homes LLC. Models range from four to five bedrooms and two-story or 1 1/2-story plans.

Prairie Brook: Single-family models will be showcased as entries 85-89, featuring designs from James Engle Custom Homes and Roeser Homes LLC. Model homes range from four to five bedrooms in two-story or reverse 1 1/2-story layouts.

Prairie Brook Villas: entries 90 and 91, featuring three-bedroom villas from James Engle Custom Homes.

Prairie Point: Four tour entries (93-96) will be available to view from James Engle Custom Homes and Roeser Homes LLC. The models are a mix of four- and five-bedroom floor plans in two-story or 1 1/2-story styles.
